Demeter is the Greek goddess of the harvest and fertility; associated with the growth of crops and the changing seasons, particularly the cycle of planting and harvesting grains. As Mother Of Bees, her priestesses were known as the Melissae. In this role she reminds us that the lessons of her bees are that by valuing and protecting all life you in turn protect your own life, we do not live in isolation, everything is interconnected and interdependent. 
 
This is a hand stitched Organic Cotton Banner; which has been hung on Hazel, Willow and Beech rods sensitively harvested from local West Cork Woods. I have bound it with Witches Ladders & adorned it with:
* Seed Pods, Dried Grasses & Feathers
* Hand Made Ceramic Triple Goddess Spiral 
* Vintage Wooden Beads
 
The banner measures 88 cm long from the top of the hanger to the bottom of the fabric and 65 cm at its widest point.
