Danu, in Celtic traditions is the mother goddess and the ancestor from which all Tuatha Dé Danann claimed descent. She is associated with various landmarks and river courses throughout Ireland. She is the very spirit of flowing waters and queen mother of us all and is here to let the water flow through her, cleansing and purifying it. She is the great spirit of life emanating comfort and love all around, a calm peace which comes with divine balance.
