We're delighted to stock these beautifully rendered Sheela Na Gig wall plaques which are hand made in Dublin. The plaque measures 200 mm x 200mm and has been cast from herculite making it suitable for indoors or outdoors. The handpainted finish has been glazed with exterior yacht varnish for greater durability. Fitted with a ready made hanger.
 
Sheela Na Gig is an architectural feature of a woman with an enlarged vulva harking back to the pre Christian goddesses of Irish and Scottish mythology. It is believed that the carvings were used as a protection against evil and an emblem of female fertility.
