Epona Wall Plaque

Epona was a Celtic Goddess also venerated by Rome. She is the Divine Mare, the protector of horses and those undertaking long, arduous journeys, both physical and spiritual. Here she is depicted smiling and lovingly patting her loyal horse by her side; with a background of decorative Celtic knotwork. The plaque has been hand painted and finished with a silver gilders wax. It can be hung on the wall from the hook included in the back.

These statues are made from a hard plaster compound called crystacal. Each piece is coloured by hand using a combination of paint and a metallic gilders wax. Not suitable for outdoors.
